In order to obtain a first-class green tea, the right processing is important. Immediately after harvesting, the hand-picked tea leaves are dried very gently.
Sustainability:
As a pioneer and forerunner, GEPA has been committed to ensuring that fair trade and ecological cultivation go hand in hand for many years.
Because organic not only enables better prices. But organic also means doing without genetic engineering and using our resources sustainably. In this way, the ground is prepared for the future of small farmers and the generation that will follow them. As early as 1987, we therefore imported the world’s first fair trade organic tea.
We are proud that all GEPA teas are now organically certified or additionally bear the Naturland mark.
GEPA supports this valuable work by promoting the conversion, offering courses in organic farming and enabling the realization of ecological and social projects through fair trade premiums.
At the same time, we also make sure that our products are completely environmentally friendly. For tea bags, for example, we use organic cotton threads and aroma protection films made from predominantly renewable raw materials.
