Masala Chai has a long tradition in India. Its name stands for the sophisticated blend of black tea and spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and black pepper. Pleasant break for body and soul. Thousands of years ago it was recognized that extremely aromatic teas can be prepared from herbs, spices and fruits. The reason for this is the essential oils that unfold during the infusion in the cup.
Sustainability: What matters, however, is the quality of the ingredients. Therefore, our partners grow their herbs and spices in harmony with nature. Gentle drying preserves the delicious aromas and valuable ingredients. So you can enjoy true wellness teas that live up to their name. Sekem makes Egypt’s desert bloom again Through ecological methods, barren desert areas can be turned back into fertile land in just 18 months. The smallholders of our partner Sekem in Egypt prove that. Just a few years ago, agriculture there was mainly concentrated in the Nile Delta. In the meantime, aromatic herbs are being cultivated in the newly created oases, just as they were in the time of the pharaohs. Even the processing of the harvest is largely done on site. This creates new jobs that are appropriately remunerated through fair trade. This gives women in particular the opportunity to shape their future. At the same time, the entire region benefits from the investments in education and infrastructure made possible by fair trade.
